Shower Curtain Renewal!

I learned this little tip from my friend Allison to renew a yucky-looking plastic or vinyl or PEVA (whatever that is) shower curtain.

When you are about ready to throw that old, mineral-crusted curtain, simply throw it in your washing machine with some laundry detergent and some bleach.  Run it through a normal wash cycle, pull it out, and Voila!  Like new!  If the washer doesn’t do the job, you’re out nothing but a little soap and water.  If it looks better, you saved yourself at least $5 and a trip to the store!

I tried this for the first time this summer, and was amazed at the results.  While my 2-year-old curtain didn’t look new exactly, it looked like a month old instead of it’s 2 years, which I considered a HUGE improvement!
